  • 1. When Should I Contact the Kwezi.Midwife Team?
  • Congratulations on your pregnancy! You can start reaching out to us as early as 8 weeks into your pregnancy. If you’re interested in prenatal classes, we recommend contacting us around 32 weeks of pregnancy. Feel free to call or email us to schedule an appointment.

  • 2. How Many Sessions of Prenatal Classes Do I Need to Attend?
  • We recommend attending 8 sessions with Kwezi.Midwife. Depending on your personal birth plan and needs, we will work with you to customize the classes to best support your journey.

  • 3. Does Kwezi.Midwife Work with Insurance Companies?
  • Currently, we are not partnered with any insurance companies, but we are actively seeking potential partnerships.

  • 4. Does Kwezi.Midwife Offer Online Preparation?
  • Yes, we offer virtual consultations for parents residing outside Rwanda or Burundi. You can access our prenatal and postnatal support online.

  • 5. When Should I Contact a Midwife for Postnatal Care?
  • We recommend scheduling a session with your midwife before your baby is born to discuss your postpartum care and any questions you may have. If you encounter any issues at home after birth, you can contact us, and we will arrange for a midwife to visit you and your baby.

  • 6.Do you offer home birth services?
  • We don’t offer home birth services,because it’s currently not allowed under the current Rwanda regulations . The birth has to be monitored in a hospital facility.

  • 7.Do you typically do vaginal checks during prenatal appointments?
  • We do not perform routine vaginal examinations. Such exams will only be conducted if deemed necessary or if specifically requested by your situation.

  • 8.What testing do you perform on babies who go past their estimated due date?
  • Monitoring in the Later Stages of Pregnancy
    To ensure the health of your baby towards the end of your pregnancy, we provide monitoring sessions starting at 39 weeks, and continuing at 40 and 41 weeks. During these sessions, we will monitor your baby’s heart rate and ensure everything is progressing well.
